General Administrator

Unusual Projects undertake a wide range of bespoke, creative projects predominately in the museums, heritage, science centre and arts sector. Every exhibit created by us is bespoke and unique, they are designed and built in-house by our team of specialists.

We have a very busy workshop and office and need to be very organised to work efficiently. You will be the first point of contact for many, including clients. You will be responsible for looking after reception and other public areas and keeping it well maintained and functioning. You will work closely with Directors and our Accounts Team.

In your role as Adminsitration you will, in no particular order:

  • Report to the Finance Manager
  • Support with procurement administration/updating spreadsheets
  • Support with financial administration/updating spreadsheets
  • Arrange lunches for meetings
  • Maintain stationary stock levels
  • Maintain staff welfare; stock of groceries (tea/coffee/hand wash etc)
  • Handing out all post and packages
  • Communal areas hygiene
  • Assist with travel and accommodation bookings
  • Assist with booking Hire vehicles
  • Assist where required with the company administration requirements

As an Administrator with Unusual Projects, you will need:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, integrity and respect for confidentiality
  • Be efficient, have strong attention to detail, be quality minded, hardworking, flexible and responsible with a positive and approachable working attitude and a willingness to support colleagues
  • Enjoy working with Excel spreadsheets and take pride in accuracy
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Full, UK Driving Licence and car to run occasional errands (costs are compensated)
  • Able to calmly prioritise tasks in order to meet with schedules and deadlines.
  • Must be flexible and undertake any other reasonable tasks in accordance with operational needs as requested by your managers.
  • Respect confidentiality

A knowledge and experience of the following software:

  • Windows
  • MS Office – Advanced Level in Excel and Word

Working Hours

  • 25 hours per week
  • Core hours of 1000 – 1500
  • We are happy to support flexible work patterns.

Remuneration

  • Β£13 per hour

Holiday

Year One – 22 Days

Year Two – 25 Days (After one full year of service)

Year Three – 28 Days (After three full years of service)
