Responsibilities

Team Leadership & People Management

  • Guide day-to-day operations for the Sales Coordination function, fostering a collaborative, proactive, and client-centric team environment.

  • Organise and distribute workload across team members to consistently meet critical client deadlines and operational milestones.

  • Conduct regular 1-to-1 performance reviews and coaching sessions to support professional growth, resolve operational blockers, and build core capabilities.

  • Oversee onboarding and induction programmes for incoming team members, driving knowledge-sharing initiatives across the function.

  • Act as the primary escalation point for complex commercial enquiries and technical bid challenges.

  • Track team performance against key operational metrics and KPIs, presenting structured performance updates to the Head of UK Sales.

  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives to streamline workflows, eliminate bottlenecks, and raise service delivery standards.

Sales Coordination & Bid Administration

  • Draft and compile bespoke commercial proposals, pricing models, and comprehensive tender submissions aligned with client requirements.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally across Design, Sales, and Contracts Delivery teams to maintain clear project trajectories and strict timelines.

  • Maintain real-time accuracy across sales pipelines, CRM systems, and business intelligence reporting dashboards.

  • Organise site surveys, client meetings, stakeholder appointments, and internal project milestone reviews.

  • Manage incoming client enquiries promptly, offering authoritative advice on product lines, pricing structures, and project timelines.

  • Provide dedicated administrative backing to Area Sales Managers to optimise field sales operations.

  • Support wide-scale corporate campaigns, special departmental projects, and cross-functional administrative workflows.

  • Maintain rigorous documentation controls and promote standardised administrative best practices across all bidding activities.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a Sales Coordination, Bid Management, or Tender Coordination capacity, paired with demonstrated team supervisory or leadership experience.

  • Strong ability to coach, mentor, and elevate team performance in a fast-paced environment.

  • Superior organisational and time-management capabilities with a track record of balancing complex, competing priorities.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills across internal and external stakeholder groups.

  • High proficiency across the Microsoft Office Suite and modern enterprise CRM platforms.

  • Practical experience monitoring operational performance data and producing operational reports.

  • Working knowledge of formal UK procurement processes and tendering regulations is highly desirable.
