Are you a dynamic and experienced HR professional looking for your next challenge? We are seeking a proactive and skilled HR Officer / HR Advisor to join our team on a temporary basis for an initial 8-week period. This is a fantastic opportunity to bring your expertise to a fast‑paced environment, providing hands‑on support across a wide range of HR activities. Salary: £30,000 pro rata
Duration: 10 weeks Initially, could go on longer
Hours: Part-Time 3 days a week (21.5 hours) - flexible with days but the 3 days must be consecutive
Office based
Start Date: ASAP
Responsibilities:
- Managing employee relations (ER) cases with professionalism and efficiency
- Providing clear and practical advice to managers and employees on HR matters
- Supporting recruitment and onboarding processes to ensure a seamless candidate experience
- Interpreting and advising on HR policies and procedures to maintain compliance and best practices
- Assisting with training and development initiatives to support employee growth
- Processing maternity and paternity requests, including handling associated pay elements
- Conducting monthly payroll sense checks and reviewing payslips for accuracy
- Delivering general HR administration and support as needed
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an HR Officer, HR Advisor, or similar generalist HR role
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment law
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport
- A proactive and solution‑focused approach to problem‑solving
- Experience managing employee relations cases and providing HR advice
- Familiarity with payroll processes and maternity/paternity pay elements
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment
