Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced valuer or cost engineer to provide plant and equipment assessments for clients across a wide range of sectors.

This diverse role will give constant exposure to assets and businesses, including food manufacturing, vehicle manufacturing, oil and gas plants, sports and leisure facilities, pharmaceutical plants, power plants, renewable energy, offices, hotels, and more.

The role involves regular UK travel with opportunities to work internationally, requiring overnight stays away from home and occasional weekend travel.

About You

You are a plant and equipment valuer, loss adjuster, or cost engineer with at least five years post‑qualification experience.

Preferably you hold professional qualifications and have recent knowledge of assessing plant, equipment and contents for reinstatement cost assessments/insurance.

Candidates from other disciplines with direct experience in estimating costs for large or complex projects may also be considered.

You must have a positive attitude, enjoy new challenges, creative solutions, travel, problem solving, learning, meeting people and using relationships to help businesses grow.

You are organized, focused, work at a fast pace, and are comfortable working with people at all levels.

You understand the importance of data and are committed to maximizing its use to improve service, responsiveness and quality.

You hold a full UK driving licence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently or as part of a team undertake on‑site reinstatement cost assessments across a wide range of asset types and industries.
  • Create inventories of key assets.
  • Research industries and current replacement costs.
  • Produce bespoke reports to a professional standard.
  • Provide technical insights to clients.
  • Contribute to the development of industry‑leading solutions for clients.
