About the role
This senior leadership position requires an expert storyteller who can translate market insights, policy shifts, and employer needs into high-impact digital learning/user experiences. You will shape and lead a small team to build a premium content portfolio that fuels partner renewals, maximises member and learner activation, accelerates the market adoption of flagship product suites and ultimately creates more, better qualified managers and leaders.
Responsibilities:
- Content Strategy: Formulate and execute the overarching digital content strategy for CMI Thrive, ensuring alignment with the CMI Professional Standard and product portfolio as well as CMI’s strategic objectives.
- New Product Development: Drive adoption of new products, including the CMI Leadership Academy, Future Leaders Academy, and Leadership for AI qualification suites, by creating, sourcing, and curating content and e-learning for training providers and learners.
- UX: Deliver a top-tier user experience via CMI Thrive's content, communities, and mentoring to build a digital value proposition for core products, driving platform engagement, learner conversion, and guiding managers toward Chartered Manager (CMgr) status.
- Use of AI: Use generative artificial intelligence safely and effectively to automate content curation and recontextualise materials for diverse sectors and audiences.
- Thought Leadership & Brand Voice: Develop high-profile, original, CMI-owned content that amplifies CMI's brand and established position as the industry thought leader in management and leadership.
- Community Engagement: Cultivate relationships with CMI’s networks, external experts, and influencers to bring exclusive, high-value content to the platform. Leverage these connections within Thrive’s community spaces to create interactive, expert-led touchpoints that turn passive consumption into active, community-driven learner engagement.
- Content lifecycle management: Regularly audit CMI Thrive’s content, remove expired assets and ensure relevancy and recency.
- Performance & ROI Measurement: Monitor external content performance benchmarks, organic engagement data, and learner analytics to demonstrate clear behavioural impact and business results to CMI partners.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and manage direct reports, fostering a culture of innovation, data-driven decision-making, and customer-centricity.
About you

Extensive experience leading content strategy/content marketing, within a high-growth B2B or digital/marketing agency environment.
In depth knowledge of UX best practice to drive user engagement.
Proven track record of launching successful content initiatives that drive measurable customer retention, community engagement, brand authority, and revenue growth.
Deep understanding of modern, digital content production and management including the use of AI in content personalisation and contextualisation.
Demonstrated ability to take a data-driven approach and gather unstructured customer feedback and transform it into structured, scalable digital pathways that meet clear market needs.
Superb communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across a range of internal and external stakeholders.
