Location: Home-based with regular travel to meetings and events as required

Reports to: Senior UK Regional Board Manager

Salary: £37,000 plus excellent benefits

As our UK Regional Board Manager, you'll be the driving force behind CMI's regional impact. You'll lead and empower our volunteer boards, shaping strategies that deliver real value to our members and business. Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Empower and align Regional Boards with CMI priorities, building sustainable leadership pipelines and providing expert guidance on governance and succession.
  • Community Building: Drive member engagement by launching the 'CMI Thrive' platform and creating vibrant, high-visibility online and regional communities.
  • Impactful Experiences: Design and deliver high-impact regional event programmes and partnerships that provide measurable value to our members.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Translate complex regional data into clear narratives to inform decision-making, monitor engagement growth, and drive strategic improvements.

  • Experience managing and developing volunteer boards or senior committees, including recruitment, succession planning, and governance.
  • Strong communication skills with a history of advising senior leaders and building collaborative networks.
  • Track record in shaping regional engagement strategies and delivering high-quality events that drive member value.
  • Experience managing or driving adoption of online community platforms to foster user engagement.
  • Proven ability in effective budget management and oversight.
  • Analytical skills to monitor engagement metrics and present data-driven strategic insights to governance forums.
  • Adaptable and proactive, with the independence to mitigate risks and manage resources efficiently.
  • Ability to translate corporate leadership priorities into local initiatives.
  • Flexibility for regular travel and working outside core hours to support regional board meetings and events.
