Our mission

The overarching purpose of the Chartered Insurance Institute (‘the Institute’) is to educate and support our members to deliver services to the highest professional standards and to advocate for the public good. By doing this the Institute builds and maintains public trust in the insurance, financial planning, and mortgage advice professions.

Our vision

Our vision is that CII and PFS professionals build a world which delivers ever greater financial resilience for individuals and societies more broadly.

Your role

As Business Central Project Lead, you will spearhead the end-to-end implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central at the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII). This strategic leadership role is central to transforming financial and operational processes, enhancing data integrity, and driving digital finance innovation.

You will define and deliver a future-ready operating model, aligning system capabilities with business needs while ensuring robust financial controls and streamlined workflows. Collaborating across departments, you’ll lead agile delivery, manage stakeholder engagement, and champion change readiness to embed new ways of working.

Accountable for project scope, quality, and value realisation, you will oversee system design, data migration, and user adoption, ensuring the solution is scalable, compliant, and aligned with CII’s strategic goals. Your leadership will be key to achieving measurable improvements in efficiency, reporting, and user satisfaction.

You

  • You thrive in cross-functional environments, building strong relationships and aligning diverse stakeholders around shared goals.
  • You lead with a balance of structure and agility, confidently navigating change while maintaining momentum and quality.
  • You are passionate about simplifying processes and enabling smarter decision-making through technology and data.
  • You have hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or NAV), and a strong grasp of ERP systems, financial operations, and data migration.
  • You’re comfortable working with tools like Azure DevOps and Power Platform, and bring a practical understanding of agile delivery and user adoption strategies.

Your benefits

In addition to a market-benchmarked base salary, here are some of the benefits you can expect from the CII as a valued colleague:

  • 10% non-contributory pension
  • 30 days annual leave + bank holidays
