Our mission: The overarching purpose of the Chartered Insurance Institute (‘the Institute’) is to educate and support our members to deliver services to the highest professional standards and to advocate for the public good. By doing this the Institute builds and maintains public trust in the insurance, financial planning, and mortgage advice professions.
Our vision: Our vision is that CII and PFS professionals build a world which delivers ever greater financial resilience for individuals and societies more broadly.
Your role: As an Assessment Co-ordinator, you will coordinate the production and maintenance of assessment content across a diverse portfolio of computer‑marked (selected response, multiple choice) assessments offered globally. You will ensure that all assessment materials meet required standards, follow established processes, and are delivered to schedule. You will work closely with internal teams and external subject matter experts, building strong relationships and guiding contributors throughout the assessment lifecycle. This includes supporting the creation of high‑quality assessment content, chairing meetings, managing enquiries, and providing constructive feedback to ensure continuous improvement. Attention to detail and strong organisational skills will be central to your success, as you will analyse data, proof materials, maintain project plans, and safeguard the confidentiality and security of all assessment content. You will also contribute to enhancing assessment processes by identifying opportunities for improvement and supporting wider projects across the team.
You: You are a confident communicator who enjoys collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders and motivating subject matter experts to deliver their best work. You bring strong organisational discipline, balancing multiple projects, tight timelines, and shifting priorities with accuracy and calm focus. You have a sharp eye for detail, from proofreading assessment content to validating data, and take pride in maintaining high standards. You are analytical and comfortable working with databases, spreadsheets, and reports, using data to support quality, improvements, and decision‑making. You’re proactive and solutions‑oriented, contributing ideas, refining processes, and helping drive continuous improvement across assessment operations. You work independently with accountability, approaching challenges with flexibility, a positive mindset, and a commitment to seeing tasks through to completion.
Your benefits: In addition to a market-benchmarked base salary, here are some of the benefits you can expect from CII as a valued colleague:
- 10% non-contributory pension
- 30 days annual leave + bank holidays
- Healthcare cash plan
- Genuinely flexible, hybrid working
- Life assurance
- Modern office space located in 20 Fenchurch Street (Walkie-Talkie) with free Sky Garden access and discounts
