What are your contributions to the team?
- You will be experienced with contracts and engaging with suppliers of different types.
- Lead the BAS London IGS team.
- Ensure indirect purchasing is executed to achieve maximum value and delivery within agreed timeframes.
- You will have a superb eye for detail and be able to go over the legal aspects to manage risk.
- Review new and existing contracts and identify cost or service improvement opportunities.
- Negotiate with new, existing, and the company’s key supplier base.
- Accurately track and report spend data.
- Advise and comply with the company's internal approval process for the business’s blanket spend.
- Prepare and draft tender documents for indirect procurement.
- Work closely with the internal procurement team to handle day‑to‑day procurement functions.
- Create and maintain robust contracts.
- Ensure standards of time, cost and especially quality are met.
- Perform day‑to‑day procurement functions.
How to thrive in this role?
- Procurement experience spanning both direct and indirect.
- Experience with manufacturing/aviation contracts and parts.
- Experience setting up greenfield procurement sites.
- Indirect sourcing for a range of categories such as Facilities, IT, professional services.
- Experienced negotiator and supplier manager.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaborate with and influence stakeholders across the business.
- Ideally holds a degree or is CIPS qualified (desirable).
