The opportunity has arisen to join an industry leader in UK\'s & Ireland\'s Building Services sector. Alternative Heat design, develop and deliver a wide range of offsite-prefabricated, innovative, & sustainable building service solutions throughout the UK & Europe.
We specialise in the design, supply, & installation of a wide range of prefabricated energy solutions, typically built in NI and shipped throughout the UK & Europe. We also offer turnkey design, build, & operate solutions for commercial energy centres & large-scale district heating solutions & have experience with successfully procuring & delivering many similar packages to a wide range of public bodies throughout UK & Europe.
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Manager to oversee and optimize our supply chain operations.The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing supplier relationships to ensure efficiency and sustainability in our supply chain.The role requires strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of supply chain processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute supply chain strategies to improve efficiency and enhance service levels
- Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions
- Collaborate with suppliers & manufacturers to ensure a smooth supply flow - analyze supply chain issues and develop efficient solutions
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with quality standards (set performance indicators KPI\'s)
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and environmental sustainability initiatives
- Plan and implement supply chain strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Ensure timely purchasing and delivery of materials to meet project programmes
- Coordinate with carriers and third-party logistics providers (3PLs)
- Carry out supplier factory visits to audit performance and ensure high quality service
Essential Criteria
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain or logistics.
- Experience of strategic planning, systems analysis and evaluation of supply chain
- Experience in procurement and vendor management (relationship management skills and active listening)
- Proven experience in procurement and vendor management (relationship management skills)
- Ability to manage multiple supply chain partners
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy
- In-depth understanding of risk management within the supply chain of the company
- Proficiency in supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle SCM, ERP systems).
Desirable Criteria
- Bachelor\'s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) - APICS
- Experience in M&E / manufacturing sector
