Job Overview
Oversees the organization's supply chain processes and strategies, implementing process improvement techniques to maximize productivity and improve performance.
Job Requirements
- Monitor plant capacity based on customer demand and sales forecasts to identify and address mid/long-term supply risks proactively.
- Provide advanced alerts to customer care/sales teams for any potential long-term impacts on supply.
- Regularly follow up on plant supply status to ensure timely deliveries to customers and promptly address any risks.
- Collaborate with key suppliers and critical partners to monitor and manage factors impacting the supply chain.
- Optimize inventory usage by reviewing MRP parameters to improve days on hand and turns.
- Actively coordinate the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) team to conduct monthly reviews and provide clear information on demand, inventory, and supply along the supply chain.
- Lead decision-making regarding supply plans in coordination with plant leadership.
- Escalate critical issues such as capacity constraints or supplier constraints and work to mitigate and remove roadblocks.
What your background should look like
- Minimum of 8 years' experience in supply chain optimization and planning in a comparable environment – Minimum 5 years in true people management (direct reports of 10-15, skilled in people development, familiar with Kronos, etc).
- Must have SAP ERP experience.
- Experience managing a team through complex situations.
- Must have experience in the Aerospace industry (manufacturing).
- Must have experience with High Mix-Low Volume.
- Experience with long-term capacity planning – data driven analysis.
- Experience managing a global supply chain purchasing components from multiple suppliers within and beyond the organization.
- Experience managing warehouse and dispatch operation.
