We currently have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Supply Chain Engineer to work as part of the Special Test Measurements team in Derby, providing a mixed portfolio of both new and mature capabilities to the aftermarket.

Experimental Engineering is accountable for all aspects of measurement methods and capability to support experimental, production, and aftermarket requirements. Part of the aftermarket business involves the supply, calibration, and maintenance of Electronic Ground Support Equipment (EGSE), used during engine maintenance to determine engine or component operability.

This customer-facing role services over 200 customers worldwide and collaborates with strategic suppliers to deliver new products and repair or maintain existing ones. The role benefits from a broad technical overview of the product domain combined with engineering logistics skills.

What you will be doing:

Reporting to the Engineering Lead, you will serve as an interface for customer and supplier orders and inquiries, and will:

  • Liaise with technical team members to resolve issues.
  • Assist in managing the supply chain.
  • Monitor delivery of new products and repairs to meet plans and service levels.
  • Communicate progress to customers and stakeholders.
