Where will you be working? At M Group, we’re enabling the energy essential to support our lives. We provide an end‑to‑end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering and home decarbonisation. This role will be within our Metering team; you’ll join the leading provider of metering services and data collection in the UK energy retail sector. We provide efficient and flexible services for gas, electricity and water meters.
What will you be doing? As Commercial Manager, you’ll lead the commercial workstream for key projects, ensuring delivery of milestones, quality and commercial outcomes on time and within budget. You’ll be the go‑to expert for commercial strategy, pricing, risk management and contract negotiations, while coaching and building capability across the team.
- Responsibilities:
- Developing and maintaining commercial strategies, including pricing, margin protection and risk allocation
- Leading contract negotiations with clients, partners and suppliers
- Managing renewals and variations end‑to‑end, from requirements capture to negotiation
- Producing robust financial models and scenario analyses to support bids and decisions
- Drafting and maintaining contract documentation and service level specifications
- Establishing and reporting commercial governance, KPIs and risk registers
- Coaching and mentoring contributors to build commercial capability
