Why be an Ecommerce Manager at THG Beauty?
We are recruiting an Ecommerce Manager to drive online performance across THG Beauty's subscription businesses and two of the most exciting and well-known beauty subscription brands. This role combines the fun, creativity, and pace of the beauty world with the opportunity to operate at scale across two market-leading businesses. Sitting at the heart of the customer journey, you'll own ecommerce trading and category performance end-to-end - from trade planning and onsite execution through to commercial optimisation. Working closely with Marketing, Finance, Operations, Buying, and Trade teams, you'll play a key role in shaping how customers discover, engage with, and fall in love with our beauty boxes in a fast-moving, collaborative, and highly commercial environment.
As Ecommerce Manager, you'll:
- Ecommerce Trading & Performance
- Own ecommerce performance across both brands, delivering against revenue, margin, conversion, AOV, and retention KPIs.
- Build and deliver annual, quarterly, and weekly trade plans, aligned to brand calendars and commercial objectives.
- Lead day-to-day onsite trading, ensuring strong merchandising, promotional effectiveness, and timely execution.
- Identify opportunities and risks through performance insight and take swift, commercial action.
- Category Management & Commercial Ownership
- Act as category owner across key beauty categories with responsibility for range optimisation, pricing strategy, promotional mechanics, and profitability.
- Partner closely with Buying and Product teams to deliver customer-led, commercially robust assortments.
- Maintain financial discipline across margin delivery and promotional investment.
- Onsite Experience & Optimisation
- Own onsite execution ensuring trade plans are delivered accurately and to schedule.
- Coordinate content brand and translation stakeholders to deliver smooth on time product launches across site.
- Work with Technology, UX, and CRO teams to continuously improve conversion, engagement, and customer experience.
- Balance commercial performance with a consistent, high-quality brand experience ensuring site layout reflects key launches and activations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as the ecommerce lead working closely with Marketing, CRM, Finance, Operations, and wider Trade teams.
- Align marketing and CRM activity with onsite trading plans to maximise commercial impact.
- Partner with Finance on forecasting, budgeting, and trading performance reviews.
- Work with Operations to ensure trading plans are operationally viable and scalable.
- Reporting, Insight & Governance
- Own ecommerce reporting and forecasting, providing clear performance updates and insight.
- Present recommendations and trading performance confidently to senior stakeholders.
- Ensure strong planning cadence, commercial discipline, and high-quality execution across all ecommerce activity.
What skills and experience do I need for this role?
- Proven experience in an Ecommerce, Trading or Category Manager role, ideally within beauty, fashion, FMCG, or high-volume ecommerce subscriptions a plus vs necessity.
- Strong background in commercial ecommerce trading and category management, including ownership of trade plans.
- Experience working cross-functionally within complex organisations.
- Comfortable using data and insight to drive trading decisions and performance improvements.
