Contract Opportunity: Procurement Specialist - Business Support & HSSE
Location: Sunbury, UK (Hybrid: 3 days in-office)
The Role
We are seeking a high‐calibre Procurement Specialist to join our central support team in Sunbury, UK. You will be accountable for the Business Support and HSSE Category, managing critical spend across Security, Logistics, IT, Facilities, and Contingent Labour. This is a fast‐paced role requiring a blend of strategic category management and hands‐on operational delivery within a complex Joint Venture (JV) environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Category Strategy: Develop and execute procurement strategies for Business Support and HSSE, ensuring alignment with the Kirkuk Development and Production Contract.
- End-to-End Sourcing: Lead sourcing activities, contract negotiations, and risk management in compliance with Iraq's Standard Contracting and Procurement Procedures (SCPP).
- Business Partnering: Act as the primary procurement interface for HSSE, Security, and Facilities functions, ensuring seamless service delivery.
- JV Collaboration: Work closely with partners at North Oil Company (NOC) and North Gas Company (NGC) to integrate systems and optimise sourcing processes.
- Contract Management: Perform post-award administration, including KPI tracking, supplier performance reviews, and audit resolution.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years of Procurement experience in the Oil & Gas sector, specifically within HSSE or Business Support categories.
- Commercial Acumen: Proven track record in end‐to‐end sourcing, complex negotiations, and managing large‐scale onshore scopes.
- Adaptability: Experience working across multi‐cultural environments; Iraq or JV experience is a significant advantage.
- Education: University degree in a business or technical discipline; CIPS professional chartership (or equivalent) preferred.
- Logistics: Must be authorised to work in the UK and willing to commit to 3 days a week in Sunbury Office.
