About the job
A problem isn't truly solved until it's solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi‐disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross‐functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It’s your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.
As a Logistics Coordinator for the Global Submarine Network team, you play a vital role in constructing the physical backbone of the internet. Acting as a liaison between Cable Technical Program Managers (TPMs), vendors, and Trade Compliance teams, you execute defined logistics projects that keep global subsea cable projects on schedule. You are the central coordinator who validates critical shipping documentation and identifies risks of schedule misalignment and importation readiness. By maintaining oversight of these supply chain details, you mitigate customs risks and ensure materials arrive efficiently for construction projects worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Execute end‐to‐end import/export processes and logistics projects for global cable builds under limited guidance, managing scheduling and document validation.
- Serve as the primary contact between Cable Build TPMs, vendors, and trade compliance. Create and deliver communication plans to keep all parties aligned on timelines and risks.
- Monitor shipment progress and consolidate tracking data into central project trackers and status reports to provide comprehensive visibility to all stakeholders.
- Review vendor documentation and commercial invoices to confirm accuracy, monetary values, Importer of Record (IOR) designations, and Country of Origin (COO) markings.
- Maintain the master list of part numbers, ensuring all items have correct Google Part Numbers (GPN) and creating new GPNs as necessary.
- Utilize existing logistics protocols and project plans to organize tasks effectively while collaborating with teammates to solve undefined challenges.
