About the role
We are looking for a Commercial Manager to take ownership of the commercial management of multiple projects across the North West. Based in Warrington, you will work closely with the Head of Commercial, Senior Commercial Manager, and project teams to ensure commercial governance, maximise value, and lead a talented team.
What you will be doing:
- Manage the financial performance of multi-million-pound projects from tender to delivery.
- Lead and develop commercial teams, supporting their growth and skills development.
- Oversee risk management, financial reporting, and subcontractor management.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, value recovery, and margin improvement.
- Provide commercial leadership, ensuring accurate forecasting and early identification of risks.
- Support contract management, including warranties and compliance with governance processes.
- Collaborate across teams and projects to share best practices and drive innovation.
- Attend project and commercial meetings, audits, and reviews as required.
- Ensure projects meet customer requirements and comply with Balfour Beatty's standards, values, and safety policies.

- Proven experience managing the commercial aspects of large-scale infrastructure or civil engineering projects.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing commercial teams.
- Excellent financial management, forecasting, and risk assessment skills.
