Ready to shape the future of Seasonal Homeware at one of the UK's fastest-growing retailers? We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Buyer to join our creative Seasonal team. If you're ambitious, commercially savvy, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this could be the perfect role for you!
As a Seasonal Buyer, you'll play a key role in sourcing innovative products, negotiating the best deals, and building ranges that delight millions of customers across our growing portfolio of stores. Reporting to the Head of Buying for Homewares, you'll have the freedom to make an impact and the support to succeed. This is a permanent, full-time role and is fully office-based at our Support Centre in Speke, Liverpool L24.
The Key Accountabilities of the role are:
- Source and manage diverse product ranges from concept to completion, working with UK and Far East suppliers
- Identify gaps in the market and introduce new products to keep our ranges fresh and competitive, working with Retail Operations to ensure product launches are delivered in store
- Negotiate supplier terms including cost prices, packaging, lead times, and promotions
- Analyse sales data to forecast trends and support merchandising decisions
- Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to ensure timely, accurate deliveries
- Monitor competitor activity and set retail prices to maximise profitability
- Develop own-brand artwork and work with visual merchandising to optimise space
- Work alongside Quality Assurance to deliver great quality products to our customers
- Work with our Design Team to ensure consistency of brand, packaging and to bring trend and colour to life
The ideal candidate will have the following skills or experience:
- Minimum 1-2 years' experience at Buyer level, working with volume and high value skus
- Homewares buying experience is a plus, but not essential
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to build productive relationships with stakeholders and suppliers
- Data-driven mindset with attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- A positive, motivated self-starter who thrives under pressure
- Ability to lead, inspire and manage a team, supporting development and driving high engagement
