About The Role
Join Our Dynamic Supply Chain Team at Asda House! We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Specialist – Demand Planner to become a vital part of our onsite Supply Chain Team at Asda House. If you are commercially astute, passionate about supply chain and eager to contribute to a dynamic team, this role is perfect for you!
Position Details
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm
- Location: Asda House – Leeds, Hybrid working (2 days per week from home)
- Contract Type: Permanent
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the delivery of Category Plan / KPI targets for Asda Sales, GBI and Waste
- Accurately forecast the daily and weekly demand for a specific group of products over a 78 week horizon and provide short term forecasting reacting to markets changes, promotional opportunities and weather impacts at both corporate and item store level.
- Ensure system integrity and accuracy to ensure a smooth flow of products aligned to season, events and activity.
- Communicate any variation to forecast that may impact internal and external stakeholders – ranging from commercial, production, suppliers and retail teams.
- Provide root cause analysis to identify and address forecasting issues by category/item and understand and apply the principles of cannibalisation.
- Set item level business plan for the next financial year.
What are we looking for?
- At least 2 years' experience of demand planning/merchandise planning in FMCG environment.
- Experience of working with demand planning/WSSI systems.
- Experience within produce is desirable.
- Exceptional analytical skills when managing complexity and multiple variables, advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to operate and make the right decisions at pace, strong planning skills and work to deadlines.
- Strong influencing and communication skills, team working ability and conflict management/resilience.
- Forecasting / supply chain qualifications are desirable.
