Following a pivotal shift in our operational structure, we are looking for a Head of Supply Chain to lead the commercial and operational foundations of our partner supply chain. Reporting directly to the Director of Business Planning, you will be accountable for the end-to-end performance of the Morrisons Supply Chain and inbound operations across our shared Ocado Logistics network. This is a high-impact leadership role. You will lead an established team through new ways of working, acting as the primary senior contact for Morrisons while navigating complex stakeholder environments. Utilizing our proprietary Ocado Smart Platform (OSP) software, you will set the strategic direction for a function working with one of the fastest-growing retailers in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Supply Chain Performance: Oversee end-to-end performance, including website availability, inventory management, and outbound service outcomes.
- Senior Relationship Management: Act as the primary link between Ocado Logistics and Morrisons, building high-trust partnerships to ensure joined-up strategic decision-making.
- Inbound Governance & Flow: Oversee inbound network governance across shared-user sites, ensuring capacity is managed effectively to protect service levels for all partners.
- Team Leadership & Transformation: Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of accountability and performance during a period of operational change.
- Analytics & Technology Integration: Partner with Ocado Technology and Analytics teams to ensure software developments and insights reflect real-world supply chain requirements.
- Continuous Improvement: Oversee inbound optimisation and network efficiency by identifying and addressing root-cause issues.
About You
- Supply Chain Leadership: Significant experience leading supply chain functions in high-volume, complex FMCG or e-commerce environments.
- The "Architect" Mindset: A proven ability to build upon existing processes to create more efficient, scalable operating models.
- Influential Communicator: A credible leader able to influence outcomes with external partners and internal leadership through clear, data-driven narratives.
- Operational Judgement: The ability to resolve complex trade-offs between retail needs, logistics operations, and proprietary technology.
- Resilient Leadership: A track record of managing and developing specialist teams while maintaining service stability during times of change.
