About the role

We're seeking a Commercial Manager to lead the commercial and financial delivery of the Skye 132kV Reinforcement Project. You’ll manage the full commercial lifecycle of projects, from inception and tendering through to contract negotiation, delivery and financial control. A key focus will be managing upstream and downstream contract change in line with NEC processes.

You’ll have experience leading and developing commercial teams and will ideally be Chartered (RICS, ICES or CIOB). You’ll mentor developing commercial staff and maintain your CPD.

Flexible on Location: Fort Augustus, Isle of Skye or Motherwell. Here at Balfour Beatty, we welcome both full-time and part-time applications - because we know that not all of the best people are available full-time.

What you’ll be doing

  • Provides commercial input to Value Engineering reviews for different forms of construction
  • To support the review tenders, including estimates, cost data and contract reviews
  • To manage the preparation of Target Cost for a Project, including the associated risks
  • Manage the preparation of the monthly CVR and associated commercial reports.
  • To be able to report and explain the commercial progress to senior divisional staff
  • Establish client supply chain requirements developing, managing and maintaining the vital infrastructure and public spaces that modern economies, societies and communities rely on.

Competitive Salary. This role is available on a full‑time or part‑time. 37.5 hours Monday to Friday. Company DC pension scheme up to 5% EEs.
