We are seeking an ambitious and driven Category Manager to support build our UK grocery assortment focussing on either Frozen, Snacking & Confectionary or Ambient product assortments providing the best selection of items for our UK consumers at the best price. The ideal candidate will have experience in category management and building meaningful supplier relationships ensuring the optimum product offering is developed for our customers. This role offers a unique opportunity to build and shape category strategies and contribute to the growth of a new and dynamic e-commerce business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the end-to-end category management process within Food product assortments (across either Frozen, Snacking & Confectionary or Ambient).

• Support the category leader develop and nurture strategic partnership with national and local supply partners.

• Analyse key metrics and range gaps to derive strategies on how to improve supplier and category performance.

• Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability.

• Assist on developing and executing comprehensive sales strategies, including pricing structures and promotional campaigns.

• Develop long-term category strategies which are fit for the local market to ensure customer acquisition and retention as well as growth in key category KPIs.

• Cross departmental engagement with supply chain, app development and marketing to deliver a best-in-class service to our customers.

Qualifications:

• Procurement, Merchandising or buying experience within FMCG. The ideal candidate will have eCommerce experience in food categories.

• Understanding of consumers, with market insights and purchasing expertise.

• Exceptional analytical abilities, data sensitivity, and logical thinking.

• Effective communicator with a passion for continuous learning.

• Highly driven, innovative, team-oriented, and committed to aligning personal contributions with organisational goals.
