With our online business constantly growing, Total Platform continuing to strengthen and our retail stores remaining distinguished for our customer base, our buyers have a big responsibility to create attractive and profitable product ranges across the business. They collaborate with our Designers, Merchandisers and Technologists to put together stylish new collections for every season.
About the Role: We have an opportunity for a highly experienced Buyer to join our Menswear team at Next on a maternity cover basis. This would be a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, self-motivated Buyer to embrace, nurture and develop this Product area. You will be responsible for planning and buying the product assortment and end to end customer proposition, delivering agreed KPIs for sales, profit and stock.
- Work with the Designer and Merchandiser to analyse market data and plan a category assortment with competitive pricing.
- Working collaboratively with a range of specialist functions such as Product Technology and Sourcing, across multi-product categories to develop the collection.
- Critical path management.
- Trading Next own ranges, license and artist collaborations and acting quickly to identify new product opportunities.
- Identify new global sourcing opportunities.
- Working with the e-commerce team to optimise online sales through the use of TOV, imagery and other optimisation tools.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Buyer to join the Menswear team. This team is full of industry experts who live and breathe all things Fashion. This role will be a platform for an experienced, self-motivated Buyer to embrace the challenge of working with a successful and very fast-paced department. You will be responsible for planning and buying the product.
About You: Excellent analytical and planning skills. Ability to interpret the latest trends for the target customer. Proven track record to identify opportunities to reduce the critical path and trade ranges in season. A strategic thinker, with proven ability to manage a large team. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Enthusiastic attitude and team player.
