We're looking for an experienced and people-focused Senior HR Manager to lead our HR team and help create an outstanding employee experience across the organisation. This is a 1-year Maternity Cover role. An exciting opportunity for a senior HR professional who enjoys balancing strategic people initiatives with operational excellence. You'll play a key role in workplace culture, supporting managers and employees, and ensuring our HR services are effective, compliant, and aligned with organisational goals.
What you'll be doing
- Leading, managing and developing a small HR team
- Driving employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives
- Supporting talent management and succession planning
- Overseeing recruitment, onboarding and retention activities
- Managing HR operations including payroll accuracy, policies, compliance and reporting
- Providing expert advice on employment law and people management practices
- Leading on complex employee relations matters
- Maintaining and improving HR systems and processes
- Analysing HR data and providing insights to support organisational decision-making
- Ensuring GDPR and data protection requirements are met within the HR function
- Supporting the delivery of learning and development programmes across the organisation
What we’re looking for
- Significant experience in a senior HR generalist role
- Experience managing and developing teams
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
- Experience using HR systems and cloud-based HR platforms
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A practical, solution-focused approach to problem-solving
- Strong analytical and organisational skills / solution focused
- Confidence working with technology and data (advanced level I.T user including MS office suite)
- Experience within both private and public/not-for-profit sectors would be an advantage but is not essential

- Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD)
- Good standard of general education
