The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport is the official body representing over 13,000 professionals working in logistics, distribution, warehouse, transport and supply chain. DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business, is seeking a General Manager to play a vital role coordinating our daily warehouse and distribution requirements.
WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
The Widnes site is a brand new facility that will become the flagship from JLR freight in the UK, working in partnership with our customer, leading the freight team to create a best in class facility, efficient, sustainable freight operation. As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will:
- Be responsible for building high-performing, well-engaged teams to deliver business objectives across all dimensions, including people, financial, customer, and operations.
- Build and maintain high performing relationships with clients, senior management and key stakeholders.
- Deliver excellence through our 5 year strategic plan, maximising the performance of site operations to meet client and DHL requirements.
- Run a safe site and ensure a Safety First Culture with all individuals on site by applying the DHL Safety Standards and driving continuous improvement year-on-year.
- Listen and act upon the Voice Of The Customer.
