CIEH is seeking an experienced and respected professional to lead two major programmes of work that will shape the future of the environmental health profession. As Senior Professional Standards Advisor, you will chair both the Qualification & Registration Review Steering Group and the Professional Titles Working Group, providing strategic leadership as they address key issues raised by members—including the robustness of qualification and registration arrangements and the future use of professional titles within environmental health.
Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of Professional Standards, you will oversee complex workstreams, ensure evidence‑based decision‑making, engage widely with stakeholders, and report to CIEH’s Environmental Health Services Committee and Board of Trustees.
About you
You will be a senior academic or environmental/public health practitioner with strong leadership credentials, experience chairing multi‑disciplinary or regulatory groups, and an in‑depth understanding of environmental health education, accreditation and professional standards. Outstanding facilitation, communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills are essential.
