Biodiversity Net Gain Specialist / Ecological Technician (desk based).
Salary – £28-33k per annum
Hours – Full time 37.50 hours per week
Location – Stocksfield, Northumberland
We are an established ecology consultancy based in Northumberland covering all of the North East, Cumbria and Yorkshire.
OS Ecology are looking for an experienced technician/BNG Specialist to join our busy team to support with Biodiversity Net Gain, GIS, data analysis and report writing.
You will work alongside our team of ecologists, technical specialists and directors to do mainly BNG calculations and report writing.
You should be a team player, well organised and a good communicator.
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence with own car.
- Qualified to degree level in Ecology (or relevant field)
- 2 year ecological experience
- Experience with Biodiversity Net Gain
- GIS experience
- Excellent level written, oral and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Available to work occasional evenings for survey work.
Desirable skills
- Protected species licences
- Habitat and botanical survey experience
- GCN and bat licence or working towards gaining them.
