Overview
We are an accountancy firm specialising in complex tax advisory work with c.50 staff, and offices in Kent and London. The firm is well known for the quality of its private client work, technical excellence and collegiate culture.
We are looking for a highly organised and dependable Legal PA to become a true extension of the business and a key support to our Directors and to our estates team. This role requires someone with an exceptional eye for detail, a proactive mindset, and a willingness to roll up their sleeves and take ownership of day-to-day operations.
The ideal candidate would have prior experience in all areas below, though for a keen candidate with good basics and a willingness to learn and grow, training could be provided. The hire could be made out of either office.
Key Responsibilities
- Support legal/estate administration, including working with the estates team on probate administration
- Billing management
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all documentation is properly stored and organised
- Working with the finance team on processing bank payments / dealing with client banking issues, etc.
- Being part of the client onboarding team, to deal with ID verification / engagement letters / file set-up, etc.
- Supporting the directors on GDPR and AML reporting and review processes
- Working with the directors on marketing projects for the firm, including website management / social media management, webinar preparations, etc.
- Ad hoc project work (assisting in systems changeovers where relevant / data integrity projects, etc)
- General administrative assistance / cover across the admin team (phones / post, etc).

Skills & Experience
- Must have strong IT literacy (including Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint). An interest in developing the use of IT/ AI (e.g. Copilot, etc) to enhance our admin and client systems would also be a strong advantage
- Prior experience in an accounting or law firm is essential
- Familiarity with managing multiple office systems
- Confident handling financial/admin tasks (e.g. processing payments)
- Ability to produce professional written correspondence
- Comfortable managing and improving processes
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
Although the ideal candidate would have both prior experience in working in a probate team as well as prior experience in providing AML/GDPR support to management, there is potentially scope to flex the role to focus more on one or the other area. There is also the opportunity to progress your career by undertaking professional qualifications in this area.
