Then keep reading, because this is your chance to step into a role where career progression isn’t vague… it’s planned!
Let’s set the scene…
You’ll take ownership of a high-potential territory covering the entire Northern UK region, from Manchester up to Inverness.
But this isn’t “just” a regional sales role… You’ll work directly under Tony, the newly appointed UK Sales Director, who is building the sales function in the UK and developing a team that will take the business to its next stage of growth.
And he wants you to progress into a National Account Manager position within the next 1-2 years.
This is a rare moment to join a global business at the exact point the UK unit is scaling fast. Meaning: your career grows as the UK division grows.
So if you’re ambitious and want genuine long-term development, not empty promises… read on!
What you\’ll be doing
You’ll manage and grow a portfolio of around 70 distributors and buying-group members across the Northern region. The role is a balanced split: 60% account management / 40% new business, giving you plenty of opportunity to deepen existing relationships while also bringing new distributors into the fold. Your area consists of the full Northern territory, mainly between Manchester and Glasgow; but some customers are also located up to Inverness which you would also visit occasionally. This role is designed to evolve into a National Account Manager position as the UK sales team expands under Tony’s leadership.
Where you\’ll be doing it
Your new home? A £800 million Italian paper powerhouse; providing paper-based hygiene solutions to the entire globe since 1873. Starting from zero just 3 years ago, the UK team has grown to £20 million turnover. They’re expanding their team quickly, and doubling their warehouse capabilities just to keep up with demand. Their vision is clear, and that is to continue on their growth trajectory and reach £35 million in the next 3 years. Based in King\’s Lynn with 15 people, you\’re not just another number here. You\’re part of a small, efficient team that\’s driving serious growth, backed by the muscle and security of a European powerhouse.
What skills you need
To be considered, you’ll have manufacturing or distribution sales experience within one of the following product categories:
- Cleaning products or equipment
- Light or heavy catering equipment
- Foodservice packaging or consumables
You’ll also need to be comfortable travelling region-wide 4 days per week to meet new and existing customers. You can be based anywhere between Manchester and Glasgow/Edinburgh. And above all… you’ll be ambitious to step into a NAM role soon!
