You'll be joining a global manufacturer behind some of the most recognisable brands in workplace hygiene, washroom and wiping solutions - including Andrex, Kleenex, Scott, WypAll, Kimtech and more! At the same time, you'll become part of a major new chapter as the business enters a strategic partnership with one of the largest pulp manufacturers in the world. It's a huge moment for the organisation... and one that creates exciting long-term opportunities for the people joining now.
But that's not all... You'll also join a business where career progression isn't just talked about. It's proven.
What You'll Be Doing
This is a 70% account management focused position; inheriting a portfolio worth approximately £5m-£6m across 4-5 strategic accounts in London within the FM industry. This isn't a territory sales role... and it isn't a high-volume new business position. Your focus will be retaining, developing and growing a small number of major strategic customers. You'll lead commercial negotiations, build relationships with senior procurement stakeholders and identify opportunities to increase share of spend across existing accounts. You'll be trusted to operate autonomously, working closely with internal teams to ensure customers receive the support, service and expertise needed to grow long-term partnerships. In short: You'll be managing some of the most important customer relationships in the UK business.
Your Progression
Career development is taken seriously here. Every employee benefits from a structured Focused Development Plan (FDP), designed to help them define and achieve their long-term career ambitions. The examples of people who have benefitted from this speak for themselves. Your hiring manager has built a 23-year career within the business, progressing through multiple sales and leadership positions along the way. Above her, the Commercial Director for UK & Ireland originally joined the company as a graduate and, through continued development and progression, now leads the entire sales function. It's one of the reasons so many people build long-term careers here. Progression isn't based on empty promises or waiting for opportunities to appear. It's actively planned, supported and encouraged throughout your career!
Your New Home
You'll be joining the professional division of one of the world's largest workplace hygiene manufacturers. Globally, the business generates more than £15 billion in annual revenue, while the UK Professional division contributes over £100 million of sales each year. Behind some of the most recognisable brands in the industry, their products are trusted by organisations across Facilities Management, manufacturing, hospitality, healthcare and commercial workplaces throughout the world. But perhaps the most exciting part... The business is entering a new chapter through a strategic partnership with the world's largest pulp manufacturer. It's one of the most significant developments the tissue and hygiene industry has seen in years, creating exciting opportunities for both the business and the people joining it. And for those joining now? You'll have the opportunity to play a role in shaping that future.
What You Need To Apply
You will have experience of managing large, strategic accounts - with a track record of growth alongside them. Strong commercial and negotiation skills are a must, with the confidence to engage senior procurement professionals and executive stakeholders. You have the ability to build credibility at every level of an organisation; from boardroom decision-makers through to operational teams. You have strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify opportunities for deeper customer penetration and long-term growth. But most importantly... You'll have the gravitas to represent a premium global manufacturer and the commercial capability to manage some of the most strategically important customer relationships within the UK business. You will also be located within an approx. 1 hour commute to London.
