Remote Working / In The Field (Midlands)

Global Paper Hygiene Manufacturer

Climb into National Account Management or Sales Leadership in the next 2-3 years. That’s exactly what the Commercial Director here wants for you. If you have ambition, drive and the “eye of the tiger” to become far more than an Account Manager, then keep reading.

You’ll inherit a well-established Midlands territory, but more importantly, you’ll join a business that's actively developing its next generation of commercial sales leaders. They’re the business behind some of the world's most recognised workplace hygiene brands, including Andrex® and Kleenex®, supplying organisations across virtually every industry in the world. So if your goal is to step into Key Account Management, National Accounts or Sales Leadership over the next few years, this opportunity has been built with exactly that in mind.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll inherit an established £3.5m-£4m portfolio consisting of approximately 10 independent distributor accounts across the Midlands. Your role is to grow existing partnerships whilst identifying new opportunities across a territory with significant untapped potential. This is a genuine 50/50 split between Account Management and Business Development, giving you the best of both worlds. You’ll work closely with distribution customers and your internal team, dealing with business to drive profitable growth, backed by one of the world's strongest brands and an experienced leadership team. You’ll also receive an exceptional onboarding programme, including dedicated time with the company's Sales Trainer to get you comfortable in the role, and to further accelerate your development to reach the next stage of your career.

Your Progression

Career development isn't a slogan here - it's part of the culture. Every employee benefits from a structured Focused Development Plan, designed around their long-term career ambitions. The Commercial Director himself joined as a graduate before progressing through multiple commercial leadership roles. Joining in 2008, he has been promoted 11 times and climbed through the business to reach the highest level in the sales function. He’s now looking for someone with the same ambition. Whether your goal is National Accounts, Strategic Accounts or Sales Leadership, you’ll be given the support, coaching and opportunities to get there. Progression isn't left to chance. It’s planned.

Your New Home

You’ll be joining the professional division of one of the world's largest hygiene product manufacturers. Their products are trusted daily by organisations across Facilities Management, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Hospitality and Commercial workplaces throughout the UK and beyond. Today, the business is entering an exciting new chapter following a new acquisition, and the dream team within the sales function is currently being assembled for the next exciting chapter. For the successful candidate, it represents an opportunity to join at exactly the right time and play a part in shaping the next chapter of the business.

What You Need To Apply

  • Industry experience isn't essential. Ambition is.
  • This role is designed for someone who wants to keep progressing, not someone who's happy standing still.
  • Experience within B2B sales or account management.
  • A commercial mindset with the ability to identify growth opportunities.
  • Experience using data and insight to support customer decisions.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • You’ll ideally be based within the Midlands area, anywhere from Oxford through to Nottingham/Stoke, with flexibility across the wider territory.
