Join Our Team as a part-time Street Warden (M005)

Contractual hours: 22 hours per week average, worked across a fixed 24-week rotating shift pattern including weekends and Bank Holidays.

Role Overview

As a Street Warden, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with parking regulations and contributing to the overall safety and cleanliness of our community. This role involves:

  • Enforcing parking regulations, managing car park operations, and addressing environmental issues such as littering, dog fouling, and waste problems.
  • Patrolling the borough on foot or by vehicle, providing a visible presence and reassurance to the public.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enforce on-street parking regulations, issuing Parking Charge Notices for violations.
  • Ensure car parks operate smoothly, attend to minor machine faults, and assist customers with their enquiries.
  • Address environmental issues such as littering, dog fouling, and waste management.
  • Conduct regular patrols on foot or by vehicle throughout the Borough.
  • Offer support and advice to businesses and landowners to tackle issues affecting them.
  • Report defective signs, road markings, and abandoned vehicles.
