Contractual hours: 37 hours per week on a shift rota including weekends and Bank Holidays.

Role Overview

As a Street Warden, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with parking regulations and contributing to the overall safety and cleanliness of our community. This role involves enforcing parking regulations, managing car park operations, and addressing environmental issues such as littering, dog fouling, and waste problems. You will patrol the borough on foot or by vehicle, providing a visible presence and reassurance to the public.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enforce on‑street parking regulations, issuing Parking Charge Notices for violations.
  • Ensure car parks operate smoothly, attend to minor machine faults, and assist customers with their enquiries.
  • Address environmental issues such as littering, dog fouling, and waste management.
  • Conduct regular patrols on foot or by vehicle throughout the Borough.
  • Offer support and advice to businesses and landowners to tackle issues affecting them.
  • Report defective signs, road markings, and abandoned vehicles.
