Overview
Charnwood Borough Council is seeking a skilled Data Protection and Information Security Officer to support the development and implementation of Information Security policies. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the Council’s compliance with relevant legislation, including the Data Protection Act and GDPR. The successful candidate will be part of the ICT team, responsible for managing data protection requests, conducting risk assessments, and supporting incident response procedures. They will provide expert advice to departments, lead training initiatives, and contribute to the Council’s overall information governance strategy.
