Are you a Senior Project Manager with a track record delivering complex buildings and strong NEC contract experience? Are you ready to take responsibility for 5 Project Managers and the delivery of 7 Head Houses worth over £300m combined?
This is a standout opportunity to join High Speed Two Ltd and play a key role in delivering the £4.2bn London Main Works Civils Contract. You will be responsible for delivering 7 Head Houses — large, complex buildings housing extensive MEP equipment and controls (ventilation, power, fans, lifts, and more).
With line management responsibility for 5 Project Managers and reporting to the Head of Delivery, you will have considerable ownership and autonomy over the delivery of these Head Houses. You will build strong working relationships with the principal contractor joint venture (Costain, Skanska, Strabag), collaboratively solving issues while challenging the JV with credibility and authority. You will bring strong commercial acumen, a delivery-focused mindset, and a solid grounding in core project management practice (APM framework).
The £4.2bn London Tunnels contract covers 13 miles of twin-bore tunnels (26 miles total) between West Ruislip and Euston. A Head House is the above-ground structure built over a tunnel ventilation shaft, housing critical fire control, ventilation and electrical systems for the tunnels below, while providing safe access and egress points for emergency services and maintenance crews.
Working directly for High Speed Two Ltd, you will be a senior member of the project management team, reporting to the Head of Delivery. You will manage a team of 5 Project Managers and take ownership of the delivery of 7 Head Houses with a combined value in excess of £300m.

Role Requirements
- Proven project management experience in infrastructure, civils, or buildings, with delivery of complex buildings with substantial MEP elements — e.g. rail stations, airports, data centres, plant rooms, substations, control rooms, head houses
- Strong commercial awareness, including a solid working knowledge of NEC3 or NEC4 contracts and understanding of contract management, change control and cost awareness
- Strong programme and commercial awareness alongside core APM framework skills
- Experience managing complex contractor and stakeholder relationships
- Able to commute to North Acton, with site attendance typically 4 days a week (5 if required)
