Progression: A clear route to Associate, Senior Associate and Partner The role We are looking for an experienced BIM Manager or Senior Digital Engineer, or an ambitious BIM Coordinator ready for the step up, to join the Digital Engineering Consultancy part of a leading national multidisciplinary property & construction consultancy.
It is one of a small number of positions in the team that carries security clearance.
You will be trusted with work that most consultancies simply cannot touch: MOD and Defence Infrastructure Organisation programmes, Prime defence clients and contractors, and secure estates in the UK and Cyprus.
Alongside that sits a genuinely varied portfolio, from schools under the new Df E CF25 framework to data centres, Formula 1 and JLR manufacturing facilities, and a landmark museum scheme in Saudi Arabia.

What you will work on Defence and secure environments.
The core of the role.
You will support MOD and DIO programmes alongside Prime defence clients and contractors, mostly in the UK with a number of schemes in Cyprus.
Recent commissions include the new passenger handling facility and freight terminal at RAF Akrotiri, estate improvements and single living accommodation at the Defence Academy of the UK for Serco, the Boeing Defence UK aircraft facility at Lossiemouth, and a global property assessment for the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office.
This is work where information security, data governance and disciplined ISO 19650 practice genuinely matter.
Education, through Df E and CF25.
Education delivery is growing through CF25, the £15.4bn Construction Framework 2025, which runs to 2032 and covers schools, academies, sixth form and further education colleges across England.

Security clearance This role requires SC (Security Check) clearance.
The business will support the right candidate through the process, but you must be eligible, which normally means five years of continuous UK residency.

- Lead the coordination and implementation of BIM processes across multidisciplinary project teams.
- Develop and maintain project specific BIM Execution Plans, EIRs and associated ISO 19650 documentation.
- Act as information manager on defence and public sector commissions, applying appropriate handling, classification and data governance to secure project information.
- Manage federated models, clash detection and data validation, monitoring model quality and data integrity across the project lifecycle.
- Deliver coordinated models and structured asset data, including COBie and operational handover information.
- Support design teams in the use of digital tools and workflows, and liaise with clients, contractors and consultants to ensure deliverables meet contractual requirements.
- Mentor colleagues, drive workflow innovation, and support bid activity that converts framework access into won work.
Skills and experience A technically confident construction, engineering or architectural professional.
Building experience is the most natural fit, though strong civils background is still considered Essential
- SC clearance, or eligibility to obtain it.
- Solid understanding of ISO 19650, including the development of associated documentation.
- Experience managing federated models, clash detection and data validation on complex projects.
- Proficiency in tools such as Solibri and Autodesk Construction Cloud, with a working understanding of Revit and Civil 3D, and familiarity with Common Data Environments.
- Relevant qualifications in architectural technology, engineering, digital construction or equivalent experience.
- The ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to specialists and non specialists alike. This is a client facing role.
- Open to Main Contractor, Architectural or Consultancy backgrounds with a good undernstading of the BIM / Project lifecycle. Desirable
- Current or previous SC or DV clearance, and experience on MOD, DIO or Prime defence contractor projects.
- Additional BIM or information management certifications, and experience of COBie and asset information requirements.
- Exposure to 4D planning, data analytics, or BIM automation and scripting such as Dynamo, Python or C#.
- Knowledge of interoperability between platforms and open BIM principles, and experience mentoring others.
Working arrangements and what is on offer Agile working, typically three days across office, client or project site, with flexibility around the rest.
Regular site presence including periodic travel to defence establishments, plus some international travel in connection with the Cyprus and Saudi Arabia schemes.
