About the role
We’re looking for a Visual Merchandising Executive, with excellent attention to detail and Project Management skills to join our EU Visual Merchandising Team! This role will support the Assistant VM Manager and VM Manager, as well as work closely with the VM Assistant.
A varied and exciting role, with the opportunity to be involved in multiple projects; the VM Executive will play a pivotal role in the end‐to‐end business as usual running of the Visual Merchandising team, leading NPD launches, implementing permanent updates across multiple regions, retailers and languages, along with focusing on new store openings, and the maintenance of stores. The VM Executive will be the VM expert for the Southern Europe region, investing time in perfecting Visual Merchandising standards across the market!
As a Visual Merchandising Executive you will:
- Maintain a standard bible & process for the VM team, whilst keeping all VM documentation and files up to date per country, and user‐friendly to support cross functionally to drive efficiencies.
- Own the VM guidelines, across permanent and campaign VM ensuring they are always up to date, informative and user‐friendly.
- Collaborate with the Global and local Visual Merchandising teams to fully immerse in the detail of campaigns & their VM elements.
- Plan future campaigns ahead of time, execute current campaigns and review past campaigns to ensure we are effective.
- Be present at installs and on launch days to ensure highest quality is delivered correctly and follow up any snagging efficiently.
- Support the VM Assistant Manager, global and local store design teams to immerse in the detail of new stores & their VM elements; delivering all VM elements required for launch, working closely with Store Design and Retail Operations teams.
- Create the store launch guidelines for sign off and communicate to all teams to support set up and opening.
- End‐to‐end Project Management of BAU updates and product launches, managing multiple supplier timelines, budgets, creative approvals, deliveries and snagging.
- General team admin - raise PO's, budget tracking, prop and stock management; weekly calls with suppliers to manage all ongoing BAU projects.
- Imagine creative solutions for the team to help problem solve and drive effectiveness, working with Global VM and Commercial teams on regional adaptations of artwork.
- Conduct range reviews and data analysis, partnering with the commercial team and marketing to inform VM ensuring we are optimising VM!
- Comfortable with art‐working on InDesign and Illustrator to support with artwork of graphics and display units, when required, taking from Global VM guidelines.
- Be the VM expert and champion by passing on knowledge to teams, sharing information and VM training sessions with store teams to encourage best practice and improve VM standards.
- Building a relationship with the field teams, and commercial and marketing counterparts by attending weekly calls.
- Conduct regular store visits to support teams, mentor, and guide to ensure VM standards are met across the retail estate.
- Visit stores on key event or launch days to support teams and ensure plans are implemented correctly, where possible. You will be the VM contact for store teams.
Who you will work with
Reporting to our wonderful Assistant Visual Merchandising Manager (South Europe) you will work closely with the Store Design & VM team as well as the wider UK & global functions. You will work closely with the retail operations and maintenance team, collaborating on VM guidelines and communication to stores, supporting VM standards.
About you
You will have gained some Head Office experience in Visual Merchandising and ideally, you have experience within Beauty/Retail industries. You have experience working with VM suppliers, strong project management skills and you are confident working with retailers.
An excellent communicator: confident and comfortable building relationships with different stakeholders and you are able to effectively articulate your point of view. You have exceptional organisational skills and can manage multiple stakeholders with ease!
You thrive working to pace, you are able to ruthlessly prioritise and can manage multiple deadlines at anyone time with ease. You love to work with others, you collaborate confidently but also can work effectively on your own.
You have a natural curiosity and a positive mindset, with the ability to think creatively to produce new ideas and concepts that fit within the Charlotte Tilbury brand. You have experience across Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Office, and Outlook. You also have excellent skills in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
