About the role

The e Commerce Assistant Manager supports the commercial performance of CT. com through strong day-to-day digital merchandising, stock visibility and trading execution.

Facilitates reporting and insights gathering to support and oversee the execution of day-to-day site optimisations.

Working across e Commerce, Supply Chain, Product, Marketing and Technology, this role coordinates the operational detail required to deliver launches, promotions and evergreen trade effectively.

  • As Ecommerce Assistant Manager you will
  • Digital Merchandising & Stock Optimisation
  • Own the day-to-day merchandising of products and categories across CT. com, ensuring onsite visibility reflects the trading calendar, customer demand, stock position and commercial priorities.
  • Maintain an operational view of stock availability, out-of-stock risk, back-in-stock opportunities, excess and ageing inventory; support to quantify the sales impact and recommend actions or escalation.
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Product and e Commerce colleagues to support stock and operational readiness for launches, peak periods, promotions, loyalty activity, bundles, samples and gifting.
  • Translate stock opportunities and constraints into practical merchandising actions, including product prioritisation, alternative recommendations, clearance support and visibility changes.
  • Track the performance of merchandising actions and use the results to improve future product placement, availability planning and customer experience.
  • Trading & commercial execution
  • Support the day-to-day execution of the trading and promotional calendar, including offer set-up, testing, landing-page readiness, key hook messaging and cross-functional briefs.
  • Support the sizing and forecasting of promotions, AOV drivers and trading initiatives using historical performance, customer behaviour and stock feasibility.
  • Produce and maintain daily, weekly and monthly performance reporting, converting sales and KPI trends into concise insights, recommended actions and clearly owned follow-ups.
  • Monitor in-market and competitor activity within agreed guardrails, highlighting changes that may require a response in the trading plan.
  • Support post-campaign and launch analysis, capturing commercial, customer, stock & executional learnings to strengthen future activity.
  • Identify and implement improvements to reporting, trackers, workflows and ways of working that increase accuracy, efficiency and scalability.
  • Support troubleshooting of promotional set-ups, product availability, onsite tools and customer-facing issues, escalating material commercial risks promptly.
  • Forecasting & planning
  • Monitor forecast variance and stock cover, investigate material changes and provide timely recommendations to protect sales or reduce inventory risk.
  • Gather inputs for budgeting and reforecasting cycles, maintaining accurate planning tools and clear version control.
  • Use historical data, campaign results and trading trends to support improving forecast assumptions and more effective stock allocation.
  • Site optimisation & digital experience
  • Analyse onsite performance across search, navigation, landing pages, PDPs and PLPs, identifying opportunities to improve product discovery, CVR and revenue.
  • Support in maintaining day-to-day search and merchandising rules, including Algolia, ensuring relevance, availability and channel landing experiences are optimised.
  • Manage onsite tools as trading levers, monitoring the performance of areas such as upsell widgets, shop-the-look and subscriptions.
  • Support implementation and QA of site, tool and roadmap changes, coordinating feedback and confirming readiness before launch.

  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
