About the role
We’re looking for a passionate and experienced VM Assistant Manager with excellent people and project management skills who will support the VM Manager to help drive, deliver & execute the EU VM strategy.
You will be responsible for delivering best in class retail experiences with global impact, across all EU Department Stores.
Your key deliverables will be VM campaigns, new store openings and promotional projects on time and to budget.
We are looking for someone who can manage complexity and pace with strong budgeting and prioritisation skills.
This role will work closely with external retailer partners and suppliers, as well as colleagues of all levels across different teams in the business, so collaboration and relationship building skills will be key.
- As our Assistant VM Manager you will
- Strategic support for EU department stores driving our strategy to support achieving the overarching EU VM strategy and overall business objectives.
- Head up campaign launches from managing global delivery of assets through to execution in store delivery, managing all aspects from till units to large scale promotional sites and windows.
- Support & lead on new store openings and distribution being the flagship guardian and retailer lead ensuring successful new openings, and high VM standards across the Department store B&M estate, constantly reviewing areas of opportunity and improvement to support the distribution strategy.
- Be the experiential and promotional expert for Department stores across EU alongside the VM Manager, executing best in class promo projects of all sizes and scope with a futuristic and omni-channel approach.
- VM budget guardian: bringing all projects in on time and in budget, with an always on focus on budget management and reporting, with quarterly forecasting reviews.
- Manage the EU VM Assistant ensuring a supportive and collaborative team environment.
- General admin document management and presenting plans for sign off, managing processes and ways of working, PO’s and budget tracking
- Who you will work with
- You will report directly into our wonderful VM Manager, EU, with one direct report
- You will work closely alongside the EU Marketing team, PR, Global, in region agencies; as well as cross functionally with the wider EU Function.
About you
- You have demonstrable VM experience at an Assistant Manager level in a similar role; ideally within Beauty/Retail.
- Confident in Adobe creative suite (specifically Illustrator & Indesign)
- People focused - you are a strong and inspiring leader, with the ability to empower, coach and develop.
- Experienced project manager with a commercial mind set being key, with a creative flair!
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills with forecasting and budget management experience
- Confident managing multiple stakeholders of all levels, you can influence with ease!
- Organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- You are a strong collaborator and work well in a fast paced environment; you can pivot with ease, bringing a positive attitude!
- An excellent communicator, you can effectively articulate your point of view and know how to build strong cross functional relationships.
- You work well under pressure, you can ruthlessly prioritise and know how to influence up and work in an agile environment.
