About the role
We are looking for a brilliant Chief of Staff to support our Founder, Chair, Chief Creative Officer, and President, Charlotte Tilbury, channelling her direction effectively across the entire business. You will enable the continued explosive growth of the Charlotte Tilbury brand by helping our Founder prioritise her time on the most strategic and important topics, maximising her effectiveness by ensuring that meetings and materials are prepared to a high standard, following up on actions and helping to make connections across the business.
We’re looking for a highly capable operator with prior experience working directly for a Founder or C-suite leader in a high-intensity, global environment. The successful candidate will combine strong strategic and commercial acumen with the stamina, judgement and discretion required to act as a trusted extension of the Founder across complex, cross-functional priorities. This role requires deep personal dedication to the Founder and her strategic agenda, absolute discretion, exceptional judgement, and the ability to build strong relationships across the senior leadership team on her behalf. The successful candidate will naturally go above and beyond, with resilience and enthusiasm, always staying 10 steps ahead.
As a Chief of Staff you will:
- Own the daily operating rhythm with the Founder, including concise daily briefings covering key strategic priorities, time-critical decisions and approvals required to unblock progress, and emerging risks, sensitivities or escalation points.
- Anticipate upcoming decisions and proactively ensure the Founder is briefed with the right materials, context and options.
- Act as a thought partner to the Founder on strategic, organisational and commercial topics.
- Work with the Founder and CEO to ensure strategic direction is communicated to the leadership team with a clear roadmap in place.
- Attend key internal and external meetings alongside the Founder to document decisions, actions and owners, ensure strategic intent is clearly understood, and drive disciplined follow-up and delivery.
- Attend senior meetings on behalf of the Founder where required, representing her interests, judgement and leadership stance, and reporting back with clarity and precision.
- Maintain a clear view of Founder-level commitments and decisions, ensuring nothing is lost between intent and execution.
- Support preparation for board, investor and market-facing presentations, ensuring strategic clarity, strong commercial narrative and robust data and financial grounding.
- Review trading updates, performance dashboards and financial outputs, synthesising key insights and implications for the Founder.
- Support long-range and annual strategic planning cycles, ensuring alignment between ambition, resources and execution.
- Day-to-day liaison between the Founder and business leaders/external clients to ensure the successful activation of key business initiatives, ensuring alignment and accountability.
- Liaise on critical issues and collaborate with/coordinate business leaders to resolve.
- Act as first point of review for presentations and proposals requiring the Founder’s approval, and ensuring appropriate briefing meetings with internal stakeholders are actioned.
- Collaborate with the Founder’s EA Team to ensure effective prioritisation of time and schedule management.
- Coordinate and/or lead ad-hoc projects, presentations, and briefs of strategic importance to the Founder.
About you
- Experience working in a high growth company, ideally with direct Founder experience.
- Excellent communicator in written and verbal form, with a focus on interdepartmental communication.
- Proven success in planning and leading cross functional projects.
- Excellent workload prioritisation and ability to multi-task whilst maintaining high levels of attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
- Comfortable with ambiguity, change, demonstrating resilience and ability to work at pace.
- Can demonstrate ability to build productive relationships across all levels, with strong influencing and networking skills.
- Utterly discreet and used to managing confidential information and projects.
- Comfortable operating at Founder / C-suite level, with the gravitas to engage credibly with senior leaders.
- Strong understanding of commercial drivers, including trading performance, P&Ls, financial results, and operational trade-offs.
- Experience in high-growth, fast-moving businesses where ambiguity and pace are the norm.
- Deeply trusted operator who can act as an extension of the Founder.
- Calm under pressure, unflappable in high-stakes situations.
- High judgement, low ego, strong sense of accountability.
- Comfortable being “behind the scenes” while driving significant impact.
Why join us?
