About the role
The Senior Global Pricing Manager leads the global pricing strategy across multiple regions, ensuring commercial success through data-driven decision-making and strategic alignment with business objectives. This role is responsible for setting prices for new product launches, delivering annual pricing reviews across 10 regions, and providing insights to senior stakeholders including ExCo. It requires strong analytical capabilities, leadership skills, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams and executive decision-makers.
The role also includes managing and mentoring a Senior Pricing Analyst, supporting their development and ensuring high-quality analytical output.
As a Senior Global Pricing Manager you will
Strategic Pricing Leadership
- Own and lead pricing strategies for new product development across global markets.
- Deliver annual pricing reviews for 10 regions, integrating market trends, competitor benchmarks, and commercial objectives.
- Set pricing guardrails and approval flows to ensure consistency and profitability.
- Lead pricing strategy implementation across more than 35 countries, including the UK, US, Europe, Middle East, and China.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Liaise with senior stakeholders, including ExCo, to review pricing strategies and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Review new pricing strategies with ExCo, approve margin proposals, and escalate exceptions where required to ensure strategic alignment and governance.
- Influence executive decision-making through clear, data-backed communication and strategic insight.
Advanced Pricing Analysis
- Conduct post-price increase analysis to assess impact on revenue, margin, and customer behaviours.
- Evaluate price elasticity and cannibalisation effects to inform future pricing and promotional strategies.
- Monitor FX fluctuations and make informed pricing decisions in volatile markets.
- Track effective margins and contractual premiums across markets.
Global Market Execution
- Lead pricing strategy for new country launches, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives and successful implementation across diverse markets.
- Manage travel retail pricing corridors and provide strategic recommendations to leadership.
Team Management
- Manage and mentor a Senior Pricing Analyst, fostering professional growth and analytical excellence.
- Build a collaborative and high-performance pricing function that supports global business needs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with commercial, marketing, and finance teams to align pricing with sales strategies and market positioning.
- Collaborate with regional teams to streamline pricing processes and strengthen pricing governance.
Reporting & Systems
- Review and maintain Excel-based pricing tools and dashboards for streamlined reviews and competitor benchmarking.
- Ensure pricing and cost data is accurately loaded into systems and applied correctly across channels and markets.
About you
- Proven experience in global pricing strategy, preferably in cosmetics, retail, or FMCG.
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in financial modelling, price elasticity, and post-implementation analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and pricing tools.
- Experience managing and mentoring team members.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Knowledge of international markets and pricing dynamics.
