About The Role We are looking for the next Retail Design disruptor. This integral role supports the day‐to‐day operations of the Store Design team, working on key store design projects both in the physical and virtual world. The successful candidate will originate new concepts, push boundaries, and produce strategic and disruptive design outputs while monitoring all processes from initial creative concept to store opening.

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the Store Design Director to translate Charlotte's vision and expertise into customer communications.
  • Lead Charlotte Tilbury's brand codes across all store design elements, expressing the brand's aesthetic and commercial strengths through sketching, floor plans, storefront elevations, renderings and distribution plans.
  • Oversee architectural, mechanical and structural components and manage design packs for internal approval and external retailer sign‐off.
  • Interpret local building codes and integrate comprehensive design solutions that comply with local and regional regulations.
  • Identify technically challenging project conditions, develop solutions with department managers, suppliers and technical support.
  • Implement brand matrices/guidelines, respond quickly to changing business conditions, design prototypes and material developments.
  • Manage outward suppliers to execute design development and construction documents, reviewing and approving construction documents for adherence to design standards.
  • Ensure project execution aligns with brand strategy, schedules and budgets.
  • Approve shop drawings and maintain design integrity and safety standards.
  • Control CPA for all assigned store design projects.
  • Identify and propose solutions to resolve issues that impact project schedule, cost or design integrity.
  • Attend new store installations, monitor standards and record snagging issues.
  • Communicate effectively via verbal and visual presentation skills, tailoring materials to internal and external audiences.

Qualifications

  • Architecture or Interior Design degree.
  • Technical proficiency in 3D design using SketchUp, Vectorworks and/or AutoCAD, Microsoft Office (basic Word and Excel), InDesign and Photoshop.
  • Good knowledge of graphic design and use of the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Proficient sketching and rendering skills.
  • Global experience preferred.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, strong leadership skills and a team player.
  • Strong project management skills with proven ability to deliver multiple designs under tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and current understanding of design trends and competitive patterning.
  • Passion for retail of the future and a true disruptor mindset.
  • Ability to balance design with operational needs and budget.
  • Exceptional eye for detail and commercial opportunities.
  • Current working knowledge of building and health codes and compliance issues.
  • Focused on quality and implementation processes; store design is an extension of our products, requiring high quality and exceptional standards across all executions.
