About the role We are looking for a dynamic individual who has appropriate store design and visual merchandising procurement experience, to meet the needs of a fast-paced environment, ideally from within a digitally mature industry or heavy presence online retailer. The individual will have a global remit in strategic sourcing and cost reduction across both Store Design and Visual Merchandising.

  • Key areas across Store Design and Visual Merchandising include but are not limited to; global manufacturing of bespoke furniture for our own stores, concessions and distributors.
  • Sourcing and managing a network of general contracting and installation providers as well as manufacturing providers of both permanent and semi-permanent fixtures.

The candidate may also need to project manage some ad-hoc support that will not necessarily fall directly in this category. Taking a lead role in sourcing a preferred global supplier network, managing supplier performance, quantity and quality goods and services whilst managing a robust supplier relationship management strategy. The expectation is that the candidate will lead cost saving initiatives in partnership with our other SD/VM Category Manager to develop this category and lead on new strategic projects with both global and regional teams.

As a Global Procurement Manager you will:

  • Lead the sourcing, negotiation and general contract life-cycle management of various activities both in store design and visual merchandising categories.
  • Contribute to cross-functional initiatives and projects, aimed at driving overall business success through strategic procurement practices.
  • Identify and qualify new suppliers, as well as managing relationships and performance with existing suppliers to ensure high-quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and support them on tactical and strategic projects.
  • Monitor market trends, conduct supplier assessments, and implement cost-saving initiatives to continuously improve procurement processes and results.
  • Spend Mapping analysis of all indirect spend, provide analysis and cost saving opportunities.
  • Managing ESG initiatives with suppliers, including Ecovadis audit and improvement actions.
  • Management and updating of contract database including mapping renewal dates.
  • Work closely on digital and tech sourcing searches and quotation management.
  • Manage full RFI/RFP process, including collation of responses and score carding with appropriate analysis provided and project management.
  • Organising QBR supplier reviews across key suppliers, including annual meeting plans. Responsible for following through improvement actions and KPI management.
  • Rebate management tracking and regular liaison with finance team to ensure accurate accruals and ready availability of audit information.
  • Take ownership of cost initiative projects both individually and also in partnership with the other SD/VM Category Manager, and in accordance with Procurement Director's expected annual savings targets.
  • Set Up and deliver ongoing indirect material/services supply base credit monitoring and proactive feedback to Procurement team of any critical profile changes, using D&B tracker system.

About you:

  • Learning Curve - Capability to quickly take on board and disseminate new data/info quickly and communicate to team effectively.
  • Attention to Detail – Able to work at an extremely fast pace, without making unchecked errors across a wide range of projects at the same time.
  • Conflicting Priorities - Ability to commit to and deliver against deadlines agreed, where there will be multiple priorities to consider and manage.
  • Project Management skills – Must be conversant with both sourcing tenders/RFP processes.
  • Commercial acumen - Role holder must have strong negotiation skills, and to develop relationships with their suppliers and stakeholders alike.
  • Autonomy – Must be able to take responsibility for own resource time, prioritising work according to demands of the PM taking ownership of delivery, with minimal direct support.
  • Knowledge of Store Design and Visual Merchandising category, relevant supplier capabilities and competitor activity.
  • Previous negotiation experience in SD/VM buying.
