As Legal Counsel for Charlotte Tilbury Beauty you will report directly to a Senior Legal Counsel. You will provide legal support to the global (excluding China) direct and indirect procurement teams and digital and technology teams encompassing product, engineering, data science and transformational outsourcing, delivering to the business the very highest standards of legal advice and regulatory compliance whilst supporting the business with its international growth. You will support the business negotiating and drafting a wide range of commercial contracts relating to direct and indirect procurement activities, including supply chain, professional services, logistics, facilities, store design, outsourcing, licensing, hosting, software development and other third-party engagements. You will also be responsible for advising on AI scoping, implementation and guardrails. As required, you will assist other areas of the business and legal team on a broad range of legal matters, including distribution and marketing and advertising. You will also support the legal team to develop and enhance effective working processes with the business to ensure that the business’ objectives are achieved within appropriate timescales and with the relevant stakeholder approval.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assisting with legal affairs relating to the global end to end operations of the business (excluding employment) and in particular direct and indirect procurement and digital and technology (including AI), with supervision from Senior Legal Counsel
- Supporting the business with day-to-day legal queries, identifying legal risks and providing commercially sound advice
- Assisting with the development and implementation of legal procedures and policies to ensure the business’ compliance with applicable laws
- Drafting, negotiating and reviewing contracts, legal documents and other regulatory or contractual requirements
- Supporting the business with legal proceedings, working with outside counsel when required
- Preparing and conducting legal training for staff

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
- Qualified Solicitor – England and Wales (2-4 years’ PQE)
- Strong knowledge of commercial law and digital, technology and IT legal space
- Solid training and qualifications from a leading national or international law firm or reputable business
- Experience of working for a global brand and advising on multi-jurisdictional issues is highly desirable
