About the role
We’re looking for an ambitious National Accounts Controller to join our expanding UK, Pureplay and ANZ commercial team! You will be responsible for leading a team as well as nurturing and establishing strategic partnerships with our retail partners, identifying new commercial opportunities, to effortlessly bring the Tilbury magic to life in store and online. You’ll have a limitless mindset and proven experience working as a National Accounts Controller or similar level. You will be highly numerate, a team leader, target-driven, commercially savvy, keen to find creative solutions to challenges and passionate about working in the beauty industry!
As a National Accounts Controller, you will:
- Lead a highly passionate and driven team that lead our Pureplay, Value Retail and Australia business, ultimately driving them to deliver plans to maintain and drive number 1 ranking across the estate!
- Support the development and performance of your team, installing commercial excellence.
- Be an active, hands-on leader, to coach and motivate your team to achieve and exceed their objectives and targets.
- Establish and maintain amazing & collaborative relationships with retail partners at all levels including Buying and Trading, Merchandising, and Marketing, to ensure that the Charlotte Tilbury brand is positioned to deliver more than its due share of voice, visibility and exposure.
- Conduct successful commercial negotiations and contract management including terms, pricing, distribution, space and location, in-store visibility and beyond.
- Be a senior escalation contact to all relevant retail partners and ensure a top-line and detailed understanding of retail context, category and individual store performance to identify retail opportunities and strategic needs.
- Build and deliver against a retail sales target, within budget expectations, with the engagement and alignment of the Marketing & Retail teams, including all accurate forecasting for NPD and core lines.
- Retain agility to react to retail trends and maximise opportunities across retailers, whilst monitoring and optimising sales performance.
- Own all net sales forecasting for defined retailers, meeting all financial deadlines and budget submissions, flagging risks and opportunities in a timely and quantified manner.
- Lead end to end retailer strategy roll out annually, leading across all departments to collaborate and deliver an exceptional presentation.
Who you will work with
You will sit within our UK function, within our highly talented Commercial team, reporting directly to our wonderful Brand Director, UK, ANZ & PP. Work closely with Operational Marketing, Visual Merchandising, PR, and Store Design to create and deliver an annual plan for each retailer covering activation of key launches and marketing moments, eventing, store and retailer animation, considering both customer acquisition and retention. You will build strong working relationships with our Retail team, utilising insights from the field and engaging the team in executing trading plans.
About you
You have extensive and proven experience in a Senior Commercial role, ideally within the beauty, luxury, or fashion industry, though open to other industries. Strategy driven, you are highly numerate, target-driven, commercially savvy, and keen to find creative solutions to challenges! You know how to translate insights into actions. Leadership - Be a visionary. You have strong leadership experience and can help everyone see and be excited by what’s possible. You can manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing priorities with ease. You are approachable and personable, can build rapport quickly and pride yourself on building strong, trusted relationships across all levels. You have a passion for beauty and adding value! Results-oriented and proactively solution-driven, you are comfortable with ambiguity. Proven experience in negotiating and excellent relationship-building and communication skills. An excellent communicator. Confident and comfortable presenting, able to influence and effectively articulate your point of view. You have exceptional organisational skills and can manage multiple stakeholders with ease! Proven experience in managing and coaching, with strong numerical and analytical skills with an eye for detail and rigor. Appetite for learning and development, recognising the pace of change we are undergoing, and being a role model across all teams. You have strong business acumen, with the ability to provide a macro-level view and understanding, form strategies, and quantify business impact. You thrive working to pace, you are able to ruthlessly prioritise and can manage multiple deadlines at any one time with ease.
