What is a Product Manager Level 3
We have a career progression framework that includes Individual Contributor (IC) and People Manager (PM) tracks. IC1 is a junior Product Manager, IC4 is a senior Product Manager, and IC levels 2 and 3 cover that middle area.

Responsibilities

  • Owning product outcomes within our Team Member Development domain, working closely with a Tech Lead, Engineers and Product Design.
  • Defining and tracking success metrics that connect squad work to meaningful customer and commercial outcomes.
  • Running discovery cycles using customer interviews, analytics, support insights, sales conversations, market research and qualitative feedback to identify opportunities and shape product direction.
  • Maintaining a clear rolling view of your squad’s direction across now, next and later priorities.
  • Working closely with Engineering and Design to make pragmatic, high‑quality product decisions and trade‑offs together.
  • Partnering with Product Marketing to ensure launches and releases land well with customers and drive adoption.
  • Keeping stakeholders across the business aligned on what your squad is working on, why it matters and how it’s performing.
  • Contributing to the wider Product function by sharing learnings, collaborating cross‑functionally and helping raise the bar collectively.
  • Building a deep understanding of small businesses and the operational realities of founders and people managers navigating HR and employment challenges.

Requirements

  • Experience working as a Product Manager within a technology or software environment.
  • A track record of owning product outcomes and working directly with technology teams to improve them.
  • Strong product judgement and confidence making thoughtful trade‑offs under pressure.
  • Experience running product discovery and using both qualitative and quantitative insights to inform decisions.
  • A strong understanding of UX and service design principles with a passion for building intuitive user experiences.
  • Experience collaborating closely with Engineering, Design and GTM teams.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to bring clarity and context to stakeholders at different levels of the business.
  • Genuine curiosity about small businesses and the challenges they face around people management and HR.
  • Self‑awareness and humility – you know that honest feedback is how you grow, and you’re not afraid to ask for help.

Let Us Know If You Have

  • Experience working in a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Experience working within a brownfield product environment.
  • Familiarity with small business HR processes or HR technology.
  • Experience using frameworks such as Opportunity‑Solution Trees or Metrics Trees.
  • Familiarity with design thinking principles.
  • Experience working closely with Product Marketing on launches and adoption.

This is a permanent full‑time role. We cannot offer visa sponsorship and you must be able to work in the UK.

  • A team of 39 that genuinely enjoy spending time together, with regular in‑person and remote events to foster connection.
  • 9 day fortnights. We have every other Friday off work.
  • Hybrid‑first approach; we optimise for office and remote working to be valued equally, and to be equally valuable.
  • Live anywhere in the UK; we have 8 set days per year that we require the team to be together in our London office, but you have the flexibility to live anywhere in the UK.
  • 90 bookable “nomad working” days outside of the UK in any timezone each year.
  • An amazing office space in East London’s Second Home, and membership access to their wider locations.

  • We have review cycles 2x a year using our transparent career progression framework, and dedicated personal development time.

Compensation Package

A benchmarked salary from £54,500 to £59,500 based on your level within our progression framework.
