We’re Charlie and we exist to Make Work Better. We believe the best way to do this is by building a tool that democratises great HR for small businesses. We’re looking for a Business Development Representative II to join our growing sales team.
We’re looking for a strong seller, with a great attitude, to help us capitalise on momentum. All our demos are inbound and driven by a strong marketing team—so, there’ll be no shortage of leads.
Responsibilities
- Listening really, really (really) well, both to buyers (while you’re selling to them) and your teammates (while you’re working with them)
- Running persuasive product demos, which focus on addressing buyer needs by showcasing relevant product capabilities
- Dealing with a very high volume of inbound opportunities each month (anywhere from 40 to 70 new opportunities each month)
- Communicating with buyers (on calls and via email) in a professional, friendly and persuasive way
- Diligently following up with your opportunities, sending concise updates, responses to questions and tidbits of useful information
- Managing the discovery process, uncovering buyer pains, goals and compelling events, alongside insights about competitors and the market
- Qualifying deals—sniffing out opportunities that can close and doubling down on them, while letting go of bad-fit opportunities in a timely manner
- Following instructions, using and updating our CRM (HubSpot) in line with our sales processes, methodology and strategy
- Closing deals, hitting revenue targets, and continuing to strive to exceed them

- A benchmarked base salary starting at £38k, based on your level within our progression framework
