Charlie Caterpillars Day Nursery is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Level 3 Early Years Practitioner (Key Person) to join our toddler team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting young children’s development and creating a nurturing, stimulating environment where children can thrive. You will work closely with colleagues and families to ensure every child receives high-quality care and learning opportunities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Key Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for a group of key children, supporting their learning, development, and wellbeing.
- Observe, assess, and plan for children’s individual needs using the EYFS framework.
- Maintain accurate learning records and development profiles.
- Build strong partnerships with parents and carers, encouraging involvement in children’s learning.
- Support children with additional needs and signpost families to specialist services where required.
- Promote safeguarding, health and safety, and inclusive practice at all times.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals to support children and families.
- Contribute to a positive, reflective team culture and continuous improvement of practice.
What We’re Looking For
- Level 3 Early Years qualification (minimum).
- Experience working within an EYFS setting, ideally with children aged birth to three.
- Good understanding of child development and early childhood education.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, SEND, and inclusive practice.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Passion for helping children achieve their best start in life.
