What you’ll receive:

  • A competitive hourly rate of £13.52, rising to £14.10 after 3 months (equivalent to over £28,000 per year, rising to over £29,000, based on a 40‑hour week, excluding overtime)

Job Introduction:

As part of the Packing Team, you’ll play a key role in the final stage of our production process, ensuring our dishes meet Bigham’s high standards before heading out to our customers. You’ll work 40 hours across 4 days, giving you 3 days off every week - more time to rest, recharge and enjoy life outside of work. Monday - Thursday: 7am - 5pm.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Use specialist equipment to identify and remove dishes that don’t meet Bigham’s quality standards
  • Carefully measure and add toppings to finish dishes to a high standard
  • Refill packing machines with cardboard sleeves or boxes
  • Accurately stack boxed dishes onto pallets and move completed pallets to Logistics
  • Maintain high hygiene standards and a clean, tidy workspace
  • Complete food preparation records and logs
  • Carry out effective and accurate shift handovers
  • Flag any equipment issues within your area
  • Work as part of a fast‑paced team to achieve the daily production plan

You’ll also need:

  • Confidence working with technology and machinery, including packing and quality‑check equipment

  • A desire to develop your skills and grow as part of the Bigham’s team

Experience in a packing, machinist or food production role would be beneficial, but isn’t essential - full training will be provided.
