This is a new role for the business and as such is a great opportunity for the right individual to come in and shape and enable the business to make robust and effective commercial decisions. The purpose of the Revenue Growth Manager is to maximise our profitable revenue growth by ensuring Bigham’s focus on selling the right dishes, at the right price, through the relevant channels, with optimised promotions and pack sizes. Delivery is focused on improving both revenue and profitability using data, analytics, and commercial strategy.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide analytical insight and modelling that supports revenue growth decisions across pricing, promotions, trade investment and portfolio mix.
- Run analysis and modelling to then present key findings to multiple stakeholders to support with and identify opportunities to step-change the commercial delivery of our portfolio and drive profitable growth in our ambitious and growing business.
- Support creation of the commercial playbook with key data & tools, using key consumer metrics to maximise the growth and profitability of the Bigham’s brand.
Key areas of work:
- Pricing Analytics: Support pricing recommendations for current and future ranges through conducting price elasticity analysis and build pricing scenarios and simulations.
- Promo Effectiveness Analysis: Analyse promotional uplift and ROI to evaluate promotional mechanics & present findings to multiple stakeholders to make future recommendations.
- Portfolio & Mix Analytics: Analysis of SKU profitability and support mix management analysis to identify portfolio optimisation opportunities.
- Governance & support: Prepare materials for pricing and promotion review meetings. Track compliance with RGM guidelines and support commercial investment decision documentation and sign off processes.
- Tools and Reporting: Develop RGM dashboards and recurring reports to track and report on findings. Embed the processes and skills within the business.
The Ideal Candidate
Person Specification:
- Experience: Extensive commercial, finance, and category analytics experience. Prior RGM experience in FMCG. Understands trade & promotional spending effectiveness and ways of measuring ROI. Well-rounded commercial knowledge and business acumen. Should understand full P&L levers and their impacts. Evidence of driving recommendations into action for the business.
- Skills: Diligent in creating, compiling, tracking and maintaining reports. Ability to build strong cross functional relationships and implement change within other teams. Ability to analyse and understand complex imperfect data from many sources and manipulate with expert excel skills. A pro-active solution orientated approach under pressure. Understanding of the UK Grocery market, ideally with premium brands. Analytical thinking with the ability to distil information and drive action.
